Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) is a technology introduced by Honda on its V6 engines to improve EPA fuel efficiency numbers.  It involves using the PCM to shut down cylinders at cruising conditions.  During VCM, the valves to deactivated cylinders are disabled, along with the spark and fuel supply.  This improves fuel efficiency slightly, however, there are other side effects that many have discovered, including Honda themselves.  These include:
Vibrations in the drivetrain due to unbalanced engine operation
Oil bypassing
Excess oil consumption
Plug fouling
Misfiring
Engine damage
Worn out engine mounts
All of these issues are well documented owner complaints, which have led to a class action lawsuit that Honda has lost.  Honda has issued warranty extensions covering damage caused by VCM operation for some model years.  In addition, Honda has also issued a TSB for fixing those that are experiencing vibration issues.

works in conjunction with your Engine Coolant Temperature sensor to keep the engine control module from activating VCM mode.  When installed and configured correctly, the
VCMuzzler II

VCM harness that plugs inline with OEM wiring harness, no splices or modifications to OEM equipment necessary.  Easily reversible to stock.  All connections are fully sealed automotive connectors.
Five different resistor connectors to account for variations in vehicle cooling systems, and warmer and colder climates.  Changing the configuration is as simple as plugging and unplugging a connector.

What Does This Warranty Cover?

How Long Does The Coverage Last?
This warranty runs for 45 days from the date of purchase.
What Will We Do?
Replace or repair any defective or malfunctioning part at no charge. You are responsible for shipping costs to return the item, however, you will not have to pay for shipping to return the repaired item to you.
What Does This Warranty Not Cover?
Any problem that is caused by abuse, misuse, or an act of God are not covered. Also, consequential and incidental damages are not recoverable under this warranty. Any damages or loss of warranty to your vehicle is also not covered.
How Do You Get Service?
In order to be eligible for service under this warranty you must send an email within the warranty period to request authorization to return the product under warranty. Once authorization has been received, an address will be provided for return of the item.  Send it postage paid. Replacement or repaired item will be sent out within 5 business days.
