Beautiful hand-painted Russian lacquer box from Mstera / Mstyora, one of the four Russian lacquer art centers. Mstera lacquer art uses the traditional technique of hand-painting in egg-based tempura overlaid with intricate gold leaf. This exquisite box is a Troika box, marked as “Tpolika” and depicting a three-horse sleigh, a common painted theme in Russia. Signed by the artist and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
